FROM NATURE TO THE GLASS
From the vineyard to the glass – in perfect harmony with nature – that has always been my vision, one I have been living by for over 20 years now. Together with my family, we work hand in hand to run our winery, now in its fourth generation. Everyone pitches in! We cultivate around 20 hectares of vineyards in and around Herxheim near Landau, in the heart of the Southern Palatinate, one of the sunniest regions in our country.

FROM THE VERY BEGINNING
Even when I was just a little boy, my grandad used to take me to the vineyard. A great passion grew within me. Nature and the vineyards were a big part of my childhood. The art of winemaking has always been passed down through our family.
For me, working with nature means infusing every step of the process with sensitivity. Our expressive, high-quality wines are the result of our sustainable and environmentally friendly practices in the vineyard.
IM HARMONY WITH NATURE
Whether it’s vine shoot growth, sustainable soil management, yield reduction as well as the determination of the ideal time for the grape harvest – The heartbeat for all of this is set by nature and the weather itself. We have been working for over more than 25 years in accordance with the criteria of environmentally friendly viticulture in Rhineland-Palatinate. This means without insecticides, herbicides and artificial fertilisers, instead with careful understorey management and purely organic fertilisation through sowing a special herb- and flower mixture. This serves in our vineyards to attract a variety of insects and plants as a habitat and strengthens the vineyards.
Grown on centuries-old loess-loam soil, our grapes develop a distinctive freshness and fruitiness, which can be tasted in the glass. The skilful ageing in stainless steel tanks as well as in our wooden barrels creates a variety of flavour profiles. With a sensitive and careful touch we accompany our wines through their development. a35> our wines through their maturation. GETTING TOGETHER OVER A GLASS OF WINE
For me as a winegrower it is after the work of a whole year is to see the most beautiful things, how people get together over a glass of wine and have < a24> a wonderful time together. That’s exactly why we organise at our winery throughout the year we organise time and time again a variety of events and functions ranging from the vintage tasting to private wine tastings and thesundowner event in the heart of our vineyards.
We love bringing people together with our wines a7> with our wines a wonderful time to enjoy.
