Information on Data Transfer to the USA and Other Third Countries
We use, among other things, tools from companies based in the USA or other third countries that are not secure under data protection law. When these tools are active, your personal data may be transferred to these third countries and processed there. We point out that no level of data protection comparable to that in the EU can be guaranteed in these countries. For example, US companies are obliged to disclose personal data to security authorities without you as the data subject being able to take legal action against this. It cannot therefore be ruled out that US authorities (e.g., intelligence services) may process, evaluate, and permanently store your data located on US servers for monitoring purposes. We have no influence over these processing activities.
Revocation of Your Consent to Data Processing
Many data processing operations are only possible with your explicit consent. You can revoke consent you have already given at any time. The lawfulness of data processing carried out until the revocation remains unaffected by the revocation.

IF DATA PROCESSING IS BASED ON ART. 6 PARA. 1 LIT. E OR F GDPR, YOU HAVE THE RIGHT AT ANY TIME TO OBJECT TO THE PROCESSING OF YOUR PERSONAL DATA FOR REASONS ARISING FROM YOUR PARTICULAR SITUATION; THIS ALSO APPLIES TO PROFILING BASED ON THESE PROVISIONS. THE RESPECTIVE LEGAL BASIS ON WHICH PROCESSING IS BASED CAN BE FOUND IN THIS PRIVACY POLICY. IF YOUR PERSONAL DATA IS PROCESSED FOR DIRECT MARKETING PURPOSES, YOU HAVE THE RIGHT TO OBJECT AT ANY TIME TO THE PROCESSING OF PERSONAL DATA CONCERNING YOU FOR THE PURPOSE OF SUCH MARKETING; THIS ALSO APPLIES TO PROFILING INSOFAR AS IT IS RELATED TO SUCH DIRECT MARKETING. IF YOU OBJECT, YOUR PERSONAL DATA WILL SUBSEQUENTLY NO LONGER BE USED FOR DIRECT MARKETING PURPOSES (OBJECTION UNDER ART. 21 PARA. 2 GDPR).
Right to Lodge a Complaint with the Competent Supervisory Authority

The right to lodge a complaint exists without prejudice to other administrative or judicial remedies.
Right to Data Portability
You have the right to have data that we process automatically on the basis of your consent or in fulfillment of a contract handed over to you or to a third party in a common, machine-readable format. If you request the direct transfer of data to another controller, this will only be done to the extent that it is technically feasible.
Information, Correction, and Deletion
Within the framework of the applicable legal provisions, you have the right at any time to free information about your stored personal data, its origin and recipients, and the purpose of data processing, and, if applicable, a right to correction or deletion of this data. You can contact us at any time regarding this and other questions about personal data.
Right to Restriction of Processing
You have the right to request the restriction of the processing of your personal data. You can contact us at any time for this purpose. The right to restriction of processing exists in the following cases:
- If you dispute the accuracy of your personal data stored by us, we usually need time to verify this. For the duration of the review, you have the right to request the restriction of the processing of your personal data.
- If the processing of your personal data was/is unlawful, you can request the restriction of data processing instead of deletion.
- If we no longer need your personal data, but you need it for the exercise, defense, or assertion of legal claims, you have the right to request the restriction of the processing of your personal data instead of deletion.
- If you have lodged an objection under Art. 21 para. 1 GDPR, a balance must be struck between your interests and ours. As long as it has not yet been determined whose interests prevail, you have the right to request the restriction of the processing of your personal data.
If you have restricted the processing of your personal data, this data may—apart from its storage—only be processed with your consent or for the assertion, exercise, or defense of legal claims or for the protection of the rights of another natural or legal person or for reasons of important public interest of the European Union or a member state.
SSL or TLS Encryption
This site uses SSL or TLS encryption for security reasons and to protect the transmission of confidential content, such as orders or inquiries that you send to us as the site operator. You can recognize an encrypted connection by the fact that the address line of the browser changes from “http://” to “https://” and by the lock symbol in your browser line.

The operators of this website expressly reserve the right to take legal action in the event of unsolicited sending of advertising information, such as spam emails.
4. Data Collection on This Website
Cookies
Our website uses so-called “cookies.” Cookies are small data packets and do not cause any damage to your end device. They are stored either temporarily for the duration of a session (session cookies) or permanently (permanent cookies) on your end device. Session cookies are automatically deleted after your visit ends. Permanent cookies remain stored on your end device until you delete them yourself or automatic deletion is performed by your web browser.
Cookies may originate from us (first-party cookies) or from third-party companies (so-called third-party cookies). Third-party cookies enable the integration of certain services from third-party companies within websites (e.g., cookies for processing payment services).
Cookies have various functions. Numerous cookies are technically necessary, as certain website functions would not work without them (e.g., the shopping cart function or the display of videos). Other cookies may be used to analyze user behavior or for advertising purposes.
Cookies that are necessary to carry out the electronic communication process, to provide certain functions you have requested (e.g., for the shopping cart function), or to optimize the website (e.g., cookies for measuring web audiences) (necessary cookies) are stored on the basis of Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR, unless another legal basis is specified. The website operator has a legitimate interest in storing necessary cookies for the technically error-free and optimized provision of its services. If consent to the storage of cookies and comparable recognition technologies has been requested, processing is carried out exclusively on the basis of this consent (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR and § 25 para. 1 TTDSG); consent can be revoked at any time.
You can set your browser so that you are informed about the setting of cookies and only allow cookies on a case-by-case basis, exclude the acceptance of cookies for certain cases or in general, and activate the automatic deletion of cookies when closing the browser. If cookies are deactivated, the functionality of this website may be limited.
You can find out which cookies and services are used on this website in this privacy policy.

Our website uses the consent technology from Borlabs Cookie to obtain your consent to the storage of certain cookies in your browser or to the use of certain technologies and to document this in a data protection-compliant manner. The provider of this technology is Borlabs GmbH, Rübenkamp 32, 22305 Hamburg (hereinafter Borlabs).
When you enter our website, a Borlabs cookie is stored in your browser, in which the consents you have given or the revocation of these consents are stored. This data is not passed on to the provider of Borlabs Cookie.

Mandatory statutory retention periods remain unaffected. Details on data processing by Borlabs Cookie can be found at https://de.borlabs.io/kb/welche-daten-speichert-borlabs-cookie/.
The use of Borlabs Cookie consent technology is carried out to obtain the legally required consents for the use of cookies. The legal basis for this is Art. 6 para. 1 lit. c GDPR.

The provider of the pages automatically collects and stores information in so-called server log files, which your browser automatically transmits to us. These are:
- Browser type and browser version
- Operating system used

- Time of the server request
- IP address
This data is not merged with other data sources.

Contact Form
If you send us inquiries via the contact form, your information from the inquiry form, including the contact data you provided there, will be stored by us for the purpose of processing the inquiry and in case of follow-up questions. We do not pass on this data without your consent.
The processing of this data is based on Art. 6 para. 1 lit. b GDPR, if your inquiry is related to the fulfillment of a contract or is necessary for the implementation of pre-contractual measures. In all other cases, the processing is based on our legitimate interest in the effective processing of inquiries addressed to us (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR) or on your consent (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR) if this has been requested; consent can be revoked at any time.
The data you enter in the contact form will remain with us until you request us to delete it, revoke your consent to storage, or the purpose for data storage no longer applies (e.g., after your inquiry has been processed). Mandatory statutory provisions—in particular retention periods—remain unaffected.
Inquiry by Email, Phone, or Fax
If you contact us by email, phone, or fax, your inquiry, including all resulting personal data (name, inquiry), will be stored and processed by us for the purpose of handling your request.
The data you send to us via contact inquiries will remain with us until you request us to delete it, revoke your consent to storage, or the purpose for data storage no longer applies (e.g., after your request has been processed). Mandatory statutory provisions—in particular statutory retention periods—remain unaffected.

You can register on this website to use additional functions on the site. We use the data entered for this purpose only for the purpose of using the respective offer or service for which you have registered. The data collected during registration will be stored by us as long as you are registered on this website and will then be deleted. Statutory retention periods remain unaffected.
5. Analysis Tools and Advertising
WP Statistics
This website uses the analysis tool WP Statistics to statistically evaluate visitor access. The provider is Veronalabs, Tatari 64, 10134, Tallinn, Estonia (https://veronalabs.com).
With WP Statistics, we can analyze the use of our website. WP Statistics collects, among other things, log files (IP address, referrer, browsers used, origin of the user, search engine used) and actions that website visitors have taken on the site (e.g., clicks and views).
The data collected with WP Statistics is stored exclusively on our own server.
The use of this analysis tool is based on Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR. We have a legitimate interest in the anonymized analysis of user behavior in order to optimize both our web offering and our advertising. If appropriate consent has been requested, processing is carried out exclusively on the basis of Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR and § 25 para. 1 TTDSG, insofar as the consent includes the storage of cookies or access to information in the user’s end device (e.g., device fingerprinting) within the meaning of the TTDSG. Consent can be revoked at any time.
IP Anonymization
We use WP Statistics with anonymized IP. Your IP address is shortened so that it can no longer be directly assigned to you.
Meta Pixel (formerly Facebook Pixel)
This website uses the visitor action pixel from Facebook/Meta for conversion measurement. The provider of this service is Meta Platforms Ireland Limited, 4 Grand Canal Square, Dublin 2, Ireland. However, according to Facebook, the collected data is also transferred to the USA and other third countries.
This allows the behavior of site visitors to be tracked after they have been redirected to the provider’s website by clicking on a Facebook ad. This allows the effectiveness of Facebook ads to be evaluated for statistical and market research purposes and future advertising measures to be optimized.
The collected data is anonymous for us as the operator of this website; we cannot draw any conclusions about the identity of users. However, the data is stored and processed by Facebook, so that a connection to the respective user profile is possible, and Facebook can use the data for its own advertising purposes, in accordance with the Facebook Data Use Policy (https://de-de.facebook.com/about/privacy/). This allows Facebook to enable the placement of ads on Facebook pages and outside of Facebook. This use of the data cannot be influenced by us as the site operator.
The use of this service is based on your consent according to Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR and § 25 para. 1 TTDSG. Consent can be revoked at any time.
We use the advanced matching function within the Meta Pixel.
Advanced matching enables us to transmit various types of data (e.g., place of residence, state, postal code, hashed email addresses, names, gender, date of birth, or phone number) of our customers and prospects that we collect via our website to Meta (Facebook). By activating this, we can tailor our advertising campaigns on Facebook even more precisely to people who are interested in our offers. In addition, advanced matching improves the attribution of website conversions and expands Custom Audiences.
Insofar as personal data is collected on our website with the help of the tool described here and forwarded to Facebook, we and Meta Platforms Ireland Limited, 4 Grand Canal Square, Grand Canal Harbour, Dublin 2, Ireland are jointly responsible for this data processing (Art. 26 GDPR). Joint responsibility is limited exclusively to the collection of data and its forwarding to Facebook. The processing by Facebook that takes place after forwarding is not part of the joint responsibility. The obligations jointly incumbent on us have been set out in an agreement on joint processing. The wording of the agreement can be found at: https://www.facebook.com/legal/controller_addendum. According to this agreement, we are responsible for providing data protection information when using the Facebook tool and for the data protection-compliant implementation of the tool on our website. Facebook is responsible for the data security of Facebook products. You can assert data subject rights (e.g., requests for information) regarding data processed by Facebook directly with Facebook. If you assert data subject rights with us, we are obliged to forward them to Facebook.
Data transfer to the USA is based on the standard contractual clauses of the EU Commission. Details can be found here: https://www.facebook.com/legal/EU_data_transfer_addendum and https://de-de.facebook.com/help/566994660333381.
In Facebook’s privacy policy, you will find further information on protecting your privacy: https://de-de.facebook.com/about/privacy/.
You can also deactivate the remarketing function “Custom Audiences” in the settings for ads at https://www.facebook.com/ads/preferences/?entry_product=ad_settings_screen. To do this, you must be logged in to Facebook.
If you do not have a Facebook account, you can deactivate usage-based advertising from Facebook on the website of the European Interactive Digital Advertising Alliance: http://www.youronlinechoices.com/de/praferenzmanagement/.
Facebook Custom Audiences
We use Facebook Custom Audiences. The provider of this service is Meta Platforms Ireland Limited, 4 Grand Canal Square, Dublin 2, Ireland.
When you visit or use our websites and apps, use our free or paid offers, transmit data to us, or interact with our company’s Facebook content, we collect your personal data. If you give us consent to use Facebook Custom Audiences, we will transmit this data to Facebook, which can use it to display suitable advertising to you. Furthermore, audiences can be defined with your data (Lookalike Audiences).
Facebook processes this data as our processor. Details can be found in Facebook’s terms of use: https://www.facebook.com/legal/terms/customaudience.
The use of this service is based on your consent according to Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR and § 25 para. 1 TTDSG. Consent can be revoked at any time.

6. Newsletter
Newsletter Data
If you would like to receive the newsletter offered on the website, we require an email address from you as well as information that allows us to verify that you are the owner of the specified email address and that you agree to receive the newsletter. Further data is not collected or is collected only on a voluntary basis. For the processing of newsletters, we use newsletter service providers, which are described below.
Mailchimp
This website uses the services of Mailchimp for sending newsletters. The provider is Rocket Science Group LLC, 675 Ponce De Leon Ave NE, Suite 5000, Atlanta, GA 30308, USA.
Mailchimp is a service that can be used, among other things, to organize and analyze the sending of newsletters. If you enter data for the purpose of receiving newsletters (e.g., email address), it will be stored on Mailchimp’s servers in the USA.
With the help of Mailchimp, we can analyze our newsletter campaigns. When you open an email sent with Mailchimp, a file contained in the email (so-called web beacon) connects to Mailchimp’s servers in the USA. This allows us to determine whether a newsletter message has been opened and which links may have been clicked. In addition, technical information is collected (e.g., time of retrieval, IP address, browser type, and operating system). This information cannot be assigned to the respective newsletter recipient. It is used exclusively for the statistical analysis of newsletter campaigns. The results of these analyses can be used to better tailor future newsletters to the interests of recipients.
If you do not want analysis by Mailchimp, you must unsubscribe from the newsletter. For this purpose, we provide a corresponding link in every newsletter message.
Data processing is based on your consent (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR). You can revoke this consent at any time by unsubscribing from the newsletter. The lawfulness of data processing operations that have already taken place remains unaffected by the revocation.
The data you have deposited with us for the purpose of receiving the newsletter will be stored by us or the newsletter service provider until you unsubscribe from the newsletter and will be deleted from the newsletter distribution list after you unsubscribe from the newsletter. Data stored by us for other purposes remains unaffected by this.
Data transfer to the USA is based on the standard contractual clauses of the EU Commission. Details can be found here: https://mailchimp.com/eu-us-data-transfer-statement/ and https://mailchimp.com/legal/data-processing-addendum/#Annex_C_-_Standard_Contractual_Clauses.
After you unsubscribe from the newsletter distribution list, your email address may be stored in a blacklist by us or the newsletter service provider, if this is necessary to prevent future mailings. The data from the blacklist is used only for this purpose and is not merged with other data. This serves both your interest and our interest in complying with legal requirements when sending newsletters (legitimate interest within the meaning of Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR). Storage in the blacklist is not time-limited. You can object to the storage if your interests outweigh our legitimate interest.
For more details, please refer to Mailchimp’s privacy policy at: https://mailchimp.com/legal/terms/.
Data Processing Agreement
We have concluded a data processing agreement (DPA) for the use of the above-mentioned service. This is a contract required by data protection law, which ensures that the service processes the personal data of our website visitors only according to our instructions and in compliance with the GDPR.

The respective contractual and data protection provisions of the respective providers apply to these transactions. The use of payment service providers is based on Art. 6 para. 1 lit. b GDPR (contract processing) and in the interest of a smooth, convenient, and secure payment process (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR). Insofar as your consent is requested for certain actions, Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR is the legal basis for data processing; consent can be revoked at any time for the future.

Furthermore, the conferencing tools process the duration of the conference, start and end (time) of participation in the conference, number of participants, and other “context information” related to the communication process (metadata).
In addition, the tool provider processes all technical data required for the execution of online communication. This includes, in particular, IP addresses, MAC addresses, device IDs, device type, operating system type and version, client version, camera type, microphone or speaker, and the type of connection.
If content is exchanged, uploaded, or otherwise provided within the tool, it will also be stored on the servers of the tool providers. Such content includes, in particular, cloud recordings, chat/instant messages, voicemails, uploaded photos and videos, files, whiteboards, and other information shared during the use of the service.
Please note that we do not have full control over the data processing operations of the tools used. Our capabilities are largely determined by the corporate policy of the respective provider. Further information on data processing by the conferencing tools can be found in the privacy policies of the tools used, which we have listed below this text.
Purpose and Legal Bases
The conferencing tools are used to communicate with prospective or existing contractual partners or to offer certain services to our customers (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. b GDPR). Furthermore, the use of the tools serves to generally simplify and accelerate communication with us or our company (legitimate interest within the meaning of Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR). Insofar as consent has been requested, the respective tools are used on the basis of this consent; consent can be revoked at any time with effect for the future.
Storage Duration
Data directly collected by us via the video and conferencing tools will be deleted from our systems as soon as you request us to delete it, revoke your consent to storage, or the purpose for data storage ceases to apply. Stored cookies remain on your device until you delete them. Mandatory legal retention periods remain unaffected.
We have no influence on the storage duration of your data stored by the operators of the conferencing tools for their own purposes. For details, please inquire directly with the operators of the conferencing tools.
